Rola Doughan is a Health and Well-Being Coach, a mother of two, and an advocate for mental and physical health. Her journey began when she earned her bachelor’s from the American University of Beirut (AUB), majoring in Public Administration & Political Science in 1999. She worked as a staff member with AUB’s Regional External Programs and the Public Relations Office before going on to complete a diploma in Education & Management.
Rola moved to Atlanta with her husband in 2002. She initially started working as a
teacher, then transitioned to work for Emory’s School of Medicine where she discovered her passion for public health. After completing her master’s in public health in 2014, she joined the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and served in many different centers and roles, including the National Center of Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities, the Center of Global Health, and the Center for Immunizations and Respiratory Diseases where she worked on the task force for COVID for about a decade.
Rola is passionate about population’s health as well as the individual’s health. In 2023, she completed a Health and Well-being certificate from Duke University and recently completed a nutrition certification from Harvard on how to plan a sustainable nutrition plan.
All of this led to her founding Healthier with Rola, a health coaching practice to help people live healthier lifestyles while empowering them for sustainable lifestyle changes focusing on the 6 pillars of lifestyle medicine.
