Nothing brings friends and family together around the dinner table like the holidays. Traditional American staples for Thanksgiving feature turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, and vegetables. For dessert, pumpkin, apple, or pecan pie. Join Alif’s Public Education Director (and resident Chef) Awad Awad as he teaches us Arab American twists and Middle East-inspired holiday side dishes that are sure to impress your friend and family at your next dinner or potluck. Dishes will include favorites such as cornish hen, hashweh stuffing, the best garlic mashed potatoes ever, pecan qatayef…Of course, we’ll need to sample what we make, so we’ll end the session with an award-worthy feast. Make sure to bring your appetites!
