ALIF Enrichment Classes
Join us every Thursday between 11am and 1pm and explore the joy of of needle work!
From traditional to contemporary techniques, the Knit & Stitch Club enjoys various projects of crochet, knitting, embroidery, and sewing. But the most important part of this class is the friendship and fun moments created at each meeting. Experienced crafters can bring their own project and work on them.
Beginners will learn how to crochet, knit, and create beautiful embroideries. Full kits will be available to purchase for each project.

Practice the proper techniques to write in the various styles of Arabic Calligraphy.
Instructor: Mr. Seri Haddad
This course will introduce participants to Arabic calligraphy and its historical context within the Arab-Muslim world. Students will be introduced to various Arabic calligraphy scripts and will be provided with personalized, hands-on practice including in-class practice, individual/group instruction, and take-home assignments. This course will combine lectures with visual materials, discussion of reading and/or visual material, and hands-on practice with bamboo and ink.

Join this 4 class series and enjoy learning how to draw and paint Arabic sceneries and subjects.
You should be able to complete one or two full painting during the course of the 4 classes.
All art supplies will be provided.
Feel free to bring your favorite snack and beverage and enjoy a relaxing time with soft music, nice company and beautiful art creations!
All levels are welcome--no previous experience required.

Join Alif's cooking class series!
At each session you will learn all the steps to prepare a full, delicious meal with dessert and then sample the fruits of your labor.
Our teachers are experts who have really mastered the art of preparing healthy, delicious Arabic cuisine. They are happy to share their menus, experience and even some secrets!
Beginners are welcome. Classes are open to all levels of experience.

Reservations and prepayments are required. Places are limited and a minimum of 4 participants is required to hold each class.
Learn how to play one of the most traditional and cherished instruments in Arabic music: the Oud. This instrument, the precursor to the guitar, is revered throughout the Arab world for its beautiful sound and its historical significance.
Oud master Suheil Sedran offers individual classes for various levels.
